These terms and conditions apply to use the facilities and services provided by Waterborn for members and users.

PAYMENTS 

To confirm a booking you must pay in full at the time of the booking. In the case of on the day, walk in bookings, the session must be paid in full before the session starts.

 

EQUIPMENT

All equipment is regularly checked for damage.
Please report any damage to kit prior to use to a member of staff.
Please report any damage caused to kit during your activity.
By participating in an activity, you thereby agree to take responsibility for and pay for any damage caused by improper use.
By participating in an activity, you thereby agree to pay £45 if you lose a paddle.

 

CANCELLATION

Waterborn reserve the right to cancel a session at anytime. In this situation a full refund will be given for the sessions missed.

Waterborn reserve the right to refuse participation of clients they believe may be under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol.

For safety reasons, it is a condition of booking that clients respect the judgement of the instructor while on a session. Waterborn reserve the right to change or stop a session for safety reasons which may be due to but not limited to adverse weather or water conditions.

If you need to cancel a session for whatever reason before 1 week prior to the activity date, Waterborn will try to offer you an alternative date to take the session, if this is not possible you will receive a refund. If you cancel within 1 week prior to the activity date it is at the digression of Waterborn if a refund is given.

 

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Waterborn is covered by public and employer liability insurance.

All participants are made aware that they are undertaking the activity at their own risk. All participants are made aware of the safety guidelines and will be asked to read, understand, and sign the activity Pre-session Form.

All children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult on the water on a separate board.

If participant is under the age of 18 all forms must be read and signed by a parent or guardian over the age of 18.

All participants must declare any medical condition on the Pre-session Form.

All participants must not paddle under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

All participants must undergo a competency assessment before using equipment.

Participants must not let anyone else use Waterborn equipment (including board, paddle, leash, buoyancy aid or VHF radio).

 

PHOTOGRAPHY

If you agree to have photos taken during your session with Waterborn, these will be made available to you free of charge but remain the property of Waterborn and may be used in online or offline to promote Waterborn activities.

PRIVACY POLICY

Waterborn is strongly committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected will not be shared, rented or sold to a third party for any purposes. With your permission, we may collect and store the following personal information: – email address, physical contact. We may use your email address to send promotional information for Waterborn activities unless you state otherwise. We will not store your financial information.
