*** PREVISIONAL DATE – 2027 SUP The Creek – 23/24 October 2027 ***
The Paddlers favourite returns for 2026 for its 11th anniversary edition on the 3rd and 4th October 2026.
Entry requirements
SUP The Creek welcomes a wide range of paddlers from intermediate ability through to experienced racers. Depending on the weather conditions, the course can be challenging with chop and wind but have various back up options to move to more sheltered locations.
We want this to be a fun – and safe – event for everyone involved. This means that all entrants must, as a minimum, be able to:
- Paddle, unaided, for the distance selected in all weather conditions.
- Complete the course in 3 under hours.
Consider spending time practising, training and maybe undertaking a coaching programme to prepare for the event.
Saturday 3rd Oct
The Saturday will be the Technical race, we head down to the other end of the Estuary and overlook the English Channel.
Our start and finish location will be the beautiful South Sands and the race will *fingers crossed* have waves on both the bar and at North Sands with beach runs at South Sands between each lap.
Sunday 4th Oct
For the Sunday we have 3* distances to choose from which can be as a Touring class or Racing class
Kingsbridge – A 1km course suitable for Novice/Junior paddlers
Bowcombe – A 6km course suitable for Intermediate paddles
Widegates – The full SUP The Creek course, 12km suitable for those wanting to challenge themselves or to explore the beautiful Kingsbridge/Salcombe Estuary.
We also including a 3km prone class, SUP The Creek Without A Paddle, which is opened up to local RNLI lifeguards and others wanting to challenge themselves in a different discipline of Paddle Boarding.
