SUMMARY:Waterborn Winter Series Race #2
DESCRIPTION:Christmas time racing! It’s excited to bring back club racing. We will be continuing our winter race series with a Christmas themed race at HQ. There will be either a 4km race or a 1.5km race for novices. After our Christmas social paddle starting at 10:30 we will be holding our second winter series race. Bonus time offered for those in fancy dress. \nBriefing 12:30pm\nRace Start 12:45pm\nPrize giving 13:45pm \nRace entry costs £5 per person (£10 if hiring) \n \n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing you all tomorrow for our Christmas Social Paddle followed by the #2 Winter series race. The forecast is for 10mph wind and 11 degrees so remember to dress accordingly for racing/temperature and Christmas attire! There will be a 30 second bonus for anyone racing in Christmas fancy dress.\n\n\n \n\n\nWe set of from the Crabshell south towards the six knot marker buoy\, turn anti clockwise and then follow the town side of the pontoons as you head towards the end of the Kingsbridge Creek. turn clockwise and race back down past the pontoons and into Tacketwood for another anti-clockwise turn\, straight across to the road for a final clockwise turn then to the start line\, the Novice racers will finish here at 1.8km. The rest of the fleet will continue for a further lap.\n\n\n \n\n\nThe Crabshell will have Mulled wine and Mince pies available to finish off our 2021 season!\n\n\n\nAll abilities welcome\, but as with all club activities\, you MUST be able to SUP independently*. (Ages 16+) ** Please note: Racing requires a higher level of experience than standard club paddles so\, if in doubt\, don’t go out! \n£5 If using own equipment OR £10 to hire (Limited availability\, please book your gear in advance below) \n*Have friends and family that want to join in but haven’t SUPed before?
