Summer’s well and truly behind us now and the hazy paddle days a fond memory until next year. It’s time for some weather watching SUP to take advantage of the glorious autumnal colours that we luxuriate in here in the South Hams. And to get us all in the shape for this new season, we have a new boy at the helm – so to speak! With the departure of mainman Ollie O’Reilly to the illustrious home of Starboard, in his new role of Marketing guru, we have found the ideal man to take over and guide us all in the ways of SUP. We are sure many of you will remember his exploits this year, going beyond the call in the Bridge over the river Bowcombe race and cutting a fine dash in his Braveheart regalia on the SUP’R heroes outing… yes we can finally reveal - it’s Crispin Richard Jones, super fit and ready to don the blue. And with this new arrival we will be having a look at all we do – with some great new ideas in the offing to ensure that Waterborn remains the No.1 for SUP in the South Hams. Such as…

We know there is no better way to get the blood pumping than some out on the water activity and are organising a regular SUPCLUB Sunday revival throughout the winter, with the bounty of a bacon bap waiting for those in the mood. We will be putting the dates up on the facebook page so if you’re interested, get visiting and keep up to date with this and other stuff.

The Waterborn SUPCLUB proved to be very popular for the regular Clubbers and next year we will be adding extra SUP stuff to the Club package. And as it’s YOUR club, we would like to hear what you would like to see and do - helping us here at Waterborn to make sure the Club just gets better and a bit bigger! We have a quick questionnaire in the board room for all of those who are passing - pop-in and say hi and let us know any of your SUPCLUB related ideas and thoughts.
